When I fired the rifle of his, it made me giggle....just seemed so wrong to have less noise than an air rifle.

Hehe... no problem.  I don't know why, but everyone seems to want them

Maybe next time I'll have some ammo thats not so hot and you can really not hear it...

BTW the pistol worked today so I guess I fixed it.  No failures at all.  Woohoo!

Suppressed rimfire is da bomb.  If I demo to a newbie, I try to start with the suppressed rimfire otherwise the surprise of the noise level, unlike the movies, may turn them off.  I think it's the first thing they should get because they are so quiet and handy, then move on to the bigger stuff.  The sound of only the hammer falling in an integrally suppressed rimfire rifle really blows people away.  First time I heard one I though there was a misfire.  Next best I heard was a suppressed AR in Whisper .300, just the sproing of spring (didn't cycle).  That was scary deadly.

Today I was at the range and had only my SOS45 can, a poor choice since .45 is so hard to suppress.  I keep having to remind them that a 9mm can will be much more quiet.

Did I mention women love the suppressed rimfire?  No nasty noise or recoil, perfect (for those women not packing .44's)

I love putting my finge behind the bolt on my MarkII and squeezing one off.  What's louder, the firing pin hitting the primer or the bullet hitting the target.

It's almost always the collest toy at the range and certainly one of the cheapest to play with

Anyone know of someone local who's selling a suppressed 22?

There is a guy out of the valley, IIRC Ritchie and his shop is Ritchie's guns and ammo.  He is a CIII dealer.  Used to come to all of the shows with a huge display of CIII weapons.  Never bought anything from him.  He doesn't have a shop with hours, it is by appointment only.
If you are willing to drive north, there are atleast 3 that I know of, Chris Mannino, Bob Klauka, and Steve Coldbach.  Sorry if I misspelled anyones name.

Richie S is either moving very soon or has already moved out of state.  I bought a large amont of his ammo inventory about 5 months ago when he was planning to leave.  Unless plans have changed, which is definately possible, he's gone.
IMO having owned a number of them, SRT Arms (Doug Melton) is by far my favorite for integral supressed MKII's.  He also has the most quiet 44 mag you have ever heard (or not heard).  We've got 1 coming and will be around after the papers clear.

Speaking of papers...

I have a suppressed AR upper waiting on papers to clear.  Papers submitted in December and confirmed reciept with certified mail.  Went "active" towards end of February and now I'm hearing that the turn around is 120 days.

Yup!  My last M60 going from C3 to C3 took just OVER 5 Months!  Gotta love those ATF hours.  I think they "work" 3 hours per day, 2 days a week, 1 month per year!!

What the hell?
They need to get their union steward on this right away.  That is 3rd world conditions that they are being subjected to.
