Mark/Allen: I mailed off the packet to ATF last Satruday. This is my 3rd can from y'all (M4-1000). Always the best customer service and good pricing. I hope to be hearing from y'all with stamp in hand in a month or so. Jimbo

Month or so... LOL. That's almost funny.  We've had some heart-to-heart talks with our examiner and NFA branch is promising to make some changes to improve times. Worst we have now is a screwed up transfer for a SBR that ATF can't seem to get payment info straight on. Other than that we're seeing two month turn arounds and a few taking even more than that. Well that sucks. The last 2 transferrs were under a month mailbox to mailbox, but that was over a year ago. Hopefully I'll have it before Christmas... Is it just a volume issue or has their process changed? |
Guys might want to keep this in mind..they dont have someone to just answer the phone..its a examiner who answers and thats just pulling them off paperwork there doing |

The 20th of this month will be 7 weeks for my first one. But it will be worth the wait.

My SBR took 64 days. Can't wait till the 762SD clears. Check was cashed on July the 10th. It's still is not pending. The few times I have called to check status, I've spoken with the same woman. I hope at least Mark gets the Form4 back by the Silencer Shoot. It would Suck to go to the Shoot, get to see and shoot my CAN and not be able to take it home. Hell, my luck the Stamp would arrive on the Monday after the Shoot. I know, I know. Just hang on, it'll be O.K. |

Yeah Im not risking it .... Im buying a 14.5 barrel here off arfcom and I know how much is in my accnt but I told the guy I didnt want to risk it .... so I would either wait till my check cashes or I get my next check to pay him and he said that was cool. I could swing both in my checking accnt but IF there is anything that I need Id be pushing it. |
My first one I shit u not was about 3-4 days..that was mailed and back to my bank..I use Wachovia and apparently they do to ...14.5 is too long go shorter!

Nope just count off 8 weeks from now Are's are going together mine was cashed on 22 also...mailed it Tuesday and it was back at my bank when I cked yesterday...they sure dont take there time takeing your money lol

I called yesterday and was told mine was still pending. Given the time frame from yours, my approval won't be here til the end of next month. My SBR took 64 days. Looks like the Silencer will tale about 100 days. Mailed on 07/07/2008 Cashed on 07/10/2008 Pending on 08/15/2008 This sucks. |

If anyone wants to call to check on status, call ATF at 304-616-4500. Be polite and professional. When asking for a status you will need your serial number. Yes, Form 4s are taking longer these days and it sucks. Lots of folks trying to get things in before the elections. Personally, I wouldn't worry much about the elections. But that is adding to the volume. Mark |
