I'll take the one on the right from the first and third pic, please That's a fake Armalite pre-ban AR-15 ... or at least that's how that Springfield Armory M1A NM started out life. Back in yee' ole' time of the federal assault weapons ban I bought an Armalite pre-ban from a gun store up in Washington. A couple of days later I wrote Armalite to double check the serial number ... ya' know, just in case the gun store was make a $600 or so mistake in their behalf and making me into a felon. Yupp. The rifle was post ban. I brought it back not very happy. Owner asked me what I'd like in trade. I pointed out the M1A NM which was the most expensive semi-auto he had on the wall all prudy with walnut stock. I said even trade though the .308 was several hundred dollars more expensive that even the pre-ban price of the Armalite. He pondered a bit and I said think of the all the time and energy that he would have to go through with the ATF if I didn't trade him. |
