So iam watching this story on Ch. 8, about the illegal immigrant rallies, and am somewhat stunned at the amazing ignorance displayed by some of these folks. They claim to have rights too...well actually you dont, your not a US citizen. Rights,protections, and government benefits afforded to US citizens are not yours if you are here illegally. They are not yours because you havent done anything to deserve them, except allegedly helping support the economy. Well no, you really havent helped the economy enough to support the services that are drained by illegal immigrants. That is because they dont pay taxes, because they work illegally. Some also interviewed on Ch. 8, in Spanish, claimed to have better lives in the US. I would have much better life as a full time student if the US governent didnt take a couple grand away from me through taxes last year too. In fact, if I had that much money, I might by another AR, who knows. And a key term that seems to be lost in what I consider an overall liberal media, is the term illegal. Their presence in the US has only occurred due to an illegal act. These people are the very definition of criminals. |

What I wanna know is "where the hell's the INS at these rallies?" Seems like a target-rich environment.... check IDs, detain those suspected of being illegals. On a slightly different note, to draw a (vague) parallel...... What if a hundreds of thousands of Germans marched into Paris waving German flags, chanting "Deutschland" and demanding changes in the French government? Oh yeah, they did that - about 65 years ago - and we all know how THAT turned out....

What you guys are forgetting------ Who really runs the country? -- BIG MONEY == Corporations (oil, auto, computers, etc) As long as these big companies are buying politicians (with campaign money, etc) and the corp.'s are making profits, this will not go away. - Also construction companies locally are making a killing with these illegals. |

oh I got a nice first-hand experience with the protests downtown. took me a fucking hour to get home because san jacinto, travis, and main were all blocked off. had to wade my way through a crowd of goddamn illegal immigrants. I was just hoping some idiot would throw a homemade bomb into that crowd or something........ |

I left my pistol at home, although I have my CHL. I figured if things went bad making my way through the crowd on my way to work, that there is no way I'd use a firearm. I could imagine how, no matter what the circumstances were, the media and all the other powers that be would have painted me as some disturbed white racist on a shooting rampage. The police did a great job of keeping everything orderly. We didn't have near the number of people Dallas had, though. |
I'm not sure that even immigration police are allowed to ask people to show them ID simply because they are hispanic. It's actually one of the tricky parts of immigration enforcement, and the main reason that immigrants are rarely deported unless they commit another crime (at which point it is ok to get identification). |

All those big corporations are owned in part by small investors. The idea that giant corporations somehow are behind this is silly. Most illegals are hired by small businesses. The middle class benefits the most from illegal immigration in that it keeps costs down while not surrendering jobs to them. The rich don't care that much and the poor get most of their stuff given to them. Blaming big corporations is the height of intellectual laziness. |

Boys, I ain't the brightest bulb in the pack, but what a Special Ops buddy told me makes sense to me: "In combat if a trooper is bleeding badly from an artery, and you got time, YOU STOP THE BLEEDING FIRST. Bandage, tournequit, belt, rope. Worry about other stuff later. Just like our border: IT'S BLEEDING ILLEGALS TO DEATH. Close off the borders first--worry about all the other crap later. We can fence off all our Interstates, but can't fence off our borders? C'mon! Last stats I saw says we have 1,000,000 ILLEGAL FELONS here! Not shoplifters, but murderers. arsonists, rapists. SUPREME IRONY: find and arrest the illegals, while in custody to pay for their keep, put them on "work crews" putting up the fence on the border after which being built, you deport them. |

I have an idea, call me silly if you want, but here goes. First off, if you are illegal then its aginst the law right? So you send them back! Or do you? First ask them if they want to be a citizen of the U.S. if they say yes, then you send them to Iraq to do 4 years in the military and train them right beside the Iraq police force. You issue them a helmet a canteen and a captured AK. Then you put them out on the front line where all the action is. If they complete or survive the 4 years, then they get to live in the U.S. If they dont make it or quit, then they stay in Iraq. This will not only make them fight for what they want, but it will also let some of the real Americans over in the shit be able to come home. Just an idea... |
