Why do you feel entitled to do so? I have conservative friends with a couple kids and Stay Home wife's that voted for these. I guess they think that the 150-200k they earn will never put them in jeopardy of increasing taxes to fund the lower income people. They don't realize that this doesn't stop at $300/400k income folk, as they squander that extra 1.7% and drive the top 5% away from the state, the socialists will just lower the threshold and anyone making over $100k will need to pitch in more for all the illegals. That doesn't even factor in the inflation rate we're going to see due to the 40 trillion in federal debt. No way around it at this point. $400k in 2025 money is going to be the new "$100k" of the 90s in 10 years. Everyone gets to be a millionaire! Next year its gonna be another 1-2% ballot measure to reduce property taxes on the bottom 20% of households. Or maybe the state will just decide to jump in and fund out SNAP out of thin air. |
