Where can I get a threaded barrel, and where can I get it installed in my G17? Will I be able to swap barrels back and forth?

Lone Wolf Distributors

Should be able to drop it in with just a normal field strip - no permanent changes to the pistol.

They are very good barrels. These are the best 'bang for your buck'. They drop in easly and I have never heard of anyone having a problem with one. You just buy it an drop it in.

Short stroking?

I tried the Piggy brake on a threaded 357sig barrel with mixed results. I put in a weaker spring and it was flawless. You could feel how slow the action was moving too, it was a little weird at first. It liked the full power loads. I want to do something similar from LW with the g22 and the brake. They jumbo 9mm brake looks great too.

Single shot.
Short strokes, FTF, FTE, you name it, everything except two consecutive shots.  Very accurate though.
reading up on GlockTalk, tells me I probably need a new guide rod and spring
