Is this range open any specific times, or by 'appointment' only?  I would like to go out there again some day, but I cant find any way to contact the owner to get any specific information.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Glad to hear "the twins" didn't scare them off and sour the kids on the shooting sports.

if its legal its allowed, keep it on the berm, no bump firing due to some trying from 100yds and not able to control thier shots. Respect the property and if its wet stay off the grass. Cleanup your mess when your through, Tannerite is allowed but no domino charges or extreme loads.  $3 per hr per person, drop box is on the side of the small blue/gray blding, Have fun, be safe

Well I'm not a scout leader from the Tom Bean area but I am a Cubmaster and an Assistant Scoutmaster from the Bonham area. We have several scouts in the troop wanting to earn their merit badges for shotgun and rifle. For the merit badges we need someone who is NRA certified in each discipline. I am wanting to get certified myself however finding training in this area is next to impossible. So if there is anyone who is a trainer who can train someone else or is willing to hold a session for scouts please let me know.  Sorry for the high jack. CNL if you have any ideas let me know.

dont aplogise for the HJ, any assistance we can give these kids is welcome, since your in a local troop, maybe you can be the go between with the Sherman troop to see if theres any way we can be of assistance. Im not sure but I think we have a couple of NRA cert members in the NTx crew, I know we have several certified ROs

Let me know if you find out about any certified NRA people. They would have to be NRA certified rifle or shotgun instructors. We have 4 troops in Bonham. And I stop by the scout shop frequently enough. I have been wanting to get certified so that I may be able to teach the kids also. Also a good reason to add to my collection of firearms.

post a new thread asking for NRA cert instructors in the NTx area and post your requirements here in the Tx HTF. easist way I know to get to our people. You might just get lucky
