Waiting for a new washing machine to be delivered, And while I'm doing that, will be drilling and tapping the rib on my Benelli to fit the new Arredondo scope mount that arrived today (in less than 1 week) for my new Firepoint red dot sight |

Today I am having to deal with the mess that a small and evil black lady cat has just brought upon the garden and utility room. One dead Magpie that's almost as big as her! ![]() I'm doing the washing up, and I hear this ungodly cackling and screeching going on outside, so I wander out to wards the utility (where the back door to the garden is). Who should I run into, but the little bugger herself, pleased as punch with a mouthful of Pie - of the Mag variety! ![]() She drops it (no doubt as a gift, the soft dollop), and I proceed to scoop up the wretched thing, body stiff, heart still beating, and beak opening and closing like it's gasping it's last breaths. Well, that turned out to be the case, as after laying it down on the shelf of the garden wall, the thing ceases all movement (still a very warm body though). Of course I have to do this while it's friend and family Magpies are circling and cackling like a bunch of drunk slappers in Croydon! To be truthful, they do bugger off up to the trees when I am out there, but still. ![]() I'm actually not sure what to do with the damned thing now, I don't have much experience with (recently) dead animal carcases. Do I fling it over and into the hedges of the streamside from whence it came, or do I bag the sucker up and put it in the bin? What's a soft suburban girly man like me to do? EDIT: I googled what to do and it is now dealt with (wrapped in newspaper, and double plastic bagged, then in the bin). ![]() Pics of the Magpie and the Cat: Thumbnails: |

Today i will mostly be thanking the 'eye protection god' for wearing them this morning when this little bugger went bang when it should not have ! Felt specs of shit fly all over my face.
The ammo was Geco ! yes i know cheap. Shot 150 rds with 12 miss feeds and this. Called it a day after that. Question - would you normally 'run in' / 'warm up' a .22 prior to wanting half decent accuracy ? Rifle in question is a bog standard ST22 All help appreciated |

That's £10/hole, but worth it Soren (Practised with the Pardini .22 and the CZ 9mm and collected some 1944 german and canadian(!) 9mm and a lot of 7,62 blanks)

I went to the emergency dentist as my toothache had become unbearable. 9 injections later, it still hadn't gone completely numb, he issued the words I didn't want to hear "oh well, we might as well get on with it anyway"!
Hurt like a bastard but at least now the ache has gone away! |

Thanks for the offer :-) Believe me last night I actually went and got a pair of pliers and was going to pull the bastard out myself! The emergency dentist only costs £17, my normal one on Monday will be a large increase on that one as I can't sign up for an NHS one round here! |

What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas. Or not, as the case may be. Well I was nearly right - just a different kind of antibiotics... The anti biotics are because of the dental work, being on the wagon is down to trying to lose a bit of weight and because we did over indulge in the US including the great time we had in Vegas. I Am currently falling off the wagon, but will get back on it

I bought two bikes today.
Mrs Agent-Funky has come back from the theatre with hair like Don King after seeing the bill. She did mellow slightly when she saw the little Specialized HotRock bike for my lad with it's stabilizers in my bike stand. Still......it's easier to ask for forgiveness than permission.
