Thought I'd ask before here before I took myself down to the careers office, anyone know if the Army are even remotely flexible on joining ages?, I'm 34 soon to be 35 & wondering if I can still get in the Infantry?, it's a long shot I know

Max. age 43yrs unless you have a specialist skill they need. Ex-regulars up to 52yrs.

This was from their website.....................I was over the age limit and quoted special skills but they said 'no you just have special needs'.........

I don't know about now, but when I was still in the Infantry, 27 was the max age, I know for other jobs in the Army it is a 30 something age limit. Just give the careers office a ring, they should be able to tell you off the top of their head.

I don't know about you lot, but I joined when I was 16, and did ten year's, now at 40+ I dodn't want to start worrying about passing BFT's and CFT's, and as I'm finding out (the hard way), old men don't heal as well as young men do.
