Anybody in eastern Collin county (I'm in Lavon) have armorers wrench and upper vice block? I want to tighten up my first my first build, but don't really want to buy these tools for a one time use if I don't have to.

I'm willing to rent them or maybe bring my upper/lower by you to torque them up, will also consider your used equip. (without further comment to keep within forum rules).  Thanks.

I'm in Dallas if you want to drive down here and borrow them, or use them here at my place.

That could work, my office is in Richardson (Arapaho and 75)... If that's within reach?

It's all loose, I just got done building it so everything is finger tight right now. So I need to torque the barrel down so I can put my gas tube in. Then I need to tighten  the buffer tube castle nut. That's all, right?

Yep.  and yep...  I use a 2x4 on each side of the upper and install my barrels...  I know its total redneck but it works.  My hold upper vise broke and everyone is out of stock and when they do get more they are gone before i get there LOL>  Is it just a standard barrel nut?  Or a free float?

Standard barrel nut, plus I don't have barrel wrench either. So even if I got it in the redneck vice holder....

Thanks to Hondaciv, who's graciously offered to loan me his stuff!!

Hit me up if the other options don't work, I'm in the area and tools are all boxed up due to no workshop at the moment

Thanks to the others as well, what a great community. I'm sure I'll buy the tools eventually (I'm always buying tools!). It's just that I have all these bicycle tools I used once or twice and all these other specialty tools and things like a welder that I only use once in every 4-5 years. I have a lot of money in my garage doing nothing... (thankfully the wife hasn't pointed that out to me yet).

When I build my second rifle or maybe third, then I'll have my own stuff...

Your welcome I got my armorers wrench for 20 at CHD in fort worth.  It does everything needed to build an AR you will need a torque wrench though to do the barrel nut as well.  It just slips into the 1/2 inch hole on the armorers wrench on the barrel nut side.
