I live in Vermont, I have an address and I've been employed with DOC for some time.
But I still have my Connecticut Drivers license.

I have a 5.45 AK Receiver and an AR receiver coming to the local fun shop this week.
Can I transfer these even though I dont have a Vermont ID/DL?

Ive heard yes and no. and with my hours/overtime its tough getting to the DMV.

If you want to transfer it in CT, without a pistol permit or hunting license, you will have to wait 2 weeks for the background check.
This was the way it was a while ago, I assume the laws are the same.

Of course the sale would be illegal because your dishonest on your real address.

If your fun shop is in Vermont, I think your screwed without a proper drivers license. Better take time and get your license in order.

From what ive read, its legal for me to transfer these two Rifle Recievers before I get my Vermont DL.

Just a question...

I guess ill just bang out monday morning and head to DMV and see what hassles I have to go through to switch my Drivers license.

Do you maintain a residence in CT that meets the ATF residency requirements for the purpose of transferring a "Other" firearm? If not you need to turn in your CT DL and get a VT DL.

ID and residency requirement  excerpts from the 4473. AFAIK this is the current revised 4473.
