The railroad fucked around and found out. But $400,000,000 seems…. excessive
My bet is that it gets reduced on appeal. On the other, I also wish tribes would get treated like the sovereign entities they want to behave like. |

I had a Colville tribe member bitching about our new gun laws.
I said to him, “you’re a sovereign nation, open up a gun store and range over in Inchelium, only conform with federal law. Make the lowers there and buy everything else from distributers that will ship to WA. What are they gonna do, come on the res and shut you down? You wouldn’t be importing because the item is made here and it would be legal for you to make it.” Good thinking, he says. Maybe we’ll have a weird loophole option for buying in WA. |

That live on the rez an don't care about most of the laws either. Folks mind their own business and snitching to the man isn't smart. |

What I proposed was that the TRIBE do a gun store and range. If they produced the lowers they would not be importing into the state and only be bound by federal law. Do normal NICS checks for firearms. They do it with fireworks and as stated above, a tribe in NC has chosen to do it with weed. |
