I'm looking at how I want to register some NFA toys in the future and can't decide between a Trust and an LLC. I have ruled out a corporation due to the cost of setting on up. Anyone have some figures of what it costs to set up a Trust or LLC? Any advantages for one or the other?

There's some good information in the NFA forums here.

Did you read over the Class 3 thread on the top of this forum ?

Yes, I have read through that. I couldn't seem to come up with an answer to whether Trust registered NFA items are allowed to be possessed by multiple people as they are in a corp or LLC.

From  LastDefenders Class 3 thread:

Trust Ownership: A trust opperates similarly to a corporation with several principal differences. One you can only have two trustees that can have access to the item and the item is held in trust for a benificiary. You can sell the item but technically all proceeds of the sale must go to the benificiary. Trusts like companies must be set up properly in order to be valid.

I'm no authority on anything NFA related but the part in red seems like the answer to your question. Maybe someone else can clear it up .

If by mulitple, you mean more than two, an LLC may be a better solution for you than a trust.
