It looks like I’ll be moving to Tucson in January and I need a little help with state/local laws. I’ve looked at the revised statutes and things look pretty straightforward but it’s always better to ask than wait for the nice officer to ask me WTF I think I’m doing… Can someone please bring me up to speed on switchblade/automatic knifes, sword canes, and other evil toys? TIA, EOD3 |
Ditto. Just get your CCW and avoid any BS. I've seen people open carrying huge bowie knives and a sword once...as well as the occassional firearm. However, its pretty rare. Get your CCW and wah-lah. |
Correct. Burn a weekend. Get it done. An enlightening thing is that Federal gun free schools zone law. Even though open carry is legal, you must unload and store safely, your firearm in a school perimeter. Not so with a CCW permit. That means if you commit a traffic violation in a school zone, and they can get a bored fed to respond, you will visit the klink. Also, it keeps you out of hot water if you accidently carry into a place that you did not know served alcohol. If you are properly concealed, nobody is the wiser. |
