I'd post this elsewhere but doing it here in case I need to get a certain product in NY if needed. Here's my prob. I'm sure I'm not the only one with it. Turkey season ending soon so might as well get in the last chance. When I sit down leaning against the tree or sitting on the ground, shotty is aimed steady holding with my left hand and my right elbow is on my right knee. I shoot righty. As we call a gobbler, as you all know, must remain still. As a couple of minutes pass, either arm or both will get tired and sometimes tingling in the fingers. It's been normal since day one. Even my brother gets it. Any of you use anything to help with that? Especially when it comes to aiming. I'm thinking a stick to hold the shotty steady but I'd have to move it around if the turkey comes in a different direction. Any products out there especially in NY stores that can help with this?

would the tight sort of wrist band things you'd wear when riding dirtbikes to eliminate 'arm pump' help with this?

they're kind of like compression shorts for your arms. though, i don't know if it's the same thing as you'd get from a build up of lactic acid.

(sorry, just taking a stab here... i don't know).

Check out www.stoneypoint.com

They make a number of bipod and mono pods, including one marketed towards turkey hunters.

Also Hunter Specialties makes their "knee rest" www.hunterspec.com/Updateable/update_display.cfm?pageID=419&categoryID=33 )

I use a portable blind which allows me to rest the shotgun across my legs while calling.  If I get a bird coming in I will move the gun to a more "ready" position.

It's made by hs strut. I think I bought it at walmart about 10 years ago. They're on the cabelas website for $9.99. Not the best thing, but it works.
