OK all you Central Florida ARFCommers: If you want to come to FDCC, you are invited. Here is how easy it is: 1. Respond to this thread that you want to go and can drive yourself and gear to Deltona. That's right, Deltona only. Just a short 45 mins. from most Orlando areas. 2. Show up at my place at the right time and I will drive the 2.5 hours up and back, you just ride, eat, drink, and talk about whatever. Sleep if you want. Making the driver laugh is a bonus and one way to help pay the way. 3. Have a great time meeting some very friendly and capable shooters. Shoot a few courses of fire, learn a lot, have fun. 4. Geek out on one of the most impressive linups of weapons that I have personally witnessed and speak with the owners. If you ask, most are more than willing to let you handle/shoot them. 5. Don't worry about your skill level. Just go and shoot. Nobody judges and everyone is rooting for you when you step up to the line, so don't worry about not being "high speed, low drag." Ditto.. 3.5 hour drive to deltona, 2.5 hour ride after that. I'd almost have to make a full weekend out of it. (not that im opposed to that idea, but getting weekends off at my work just isnt likely to happen) |

Heya. We always meet on the last Sunday of the month. I leave Deltona at 10:00 am to get there around 12:30-12:45 depending on traffic. Where are you at? Maybe I can pick you up on the way to Lake City. -White Horse |

Very good. It looks like we will have a vendor there selling lots of AR stuff so if you have the need for something, this might be your chance. I may be putting together a lower so we may have some extra fun that weekend. -White Horse |

My bad. The vendor will be there Memorial Day weekend. Uh. My bad again. I remembered that I will be at 24 hour paintball that weekend so FDCC is out for me this month. Sorry. I will definitely be going in May, though. I have to pick up my receiver and possibly build it up a bit. -White Horse |

Hey White Horse - That's cool, I 'll mark my Calendar and hopefully it works out. I got lucky and didn't Go to Orlando yesterday - thanks to the headsup that the gun show was LAST weekend - my bad! Like everyone I have too many projects and too little time... but I'm going to MAKE the time to have some fun at FDCC. One of the many projects I have on the shop table is a Build of an Bulgarian AK74. The first order of business for me it to determine which receiver to use. I'm looking for an prebent with surprior quality, fit etc. If anyone has recommendations I welcome them.he Regards |
