Just a heads up,
While walking into the Biology building at UWM I noticed they had every door posted with a nice big NO WEAPONS sign. It actually looked like they went a bit overboard, as every single door was posted. Theres a entrance with about 5 doors and each one is posted. I am assuming most of campus buildings are now posted. -HB65 |

I don't go downtown much, but that's my assumption. |

Who knew that all you had to do to prevent crime was to post some signs??? They should have thought of that years ago!
I know I'll feel much safer knowing that no one would possible ignore a sign and carry a loaded firearm into a building with the intent of doing harm....... |
| The reason they have a no weapons policy is because they have the S.A.F.E. phone system to protect you. You know, those yellow boxes with the blue lights on the poles. I really don't know how those are supposed to help you immediately before and while you're being attacked. I suppose that they are there to use after the crime, that's assuming you're still alive or physically able to. I thought Universities were supposed to be institutions of higher intelligence. They sure don't impress me. |

Fuck UWM.
This among other reasons is why I throw all their alumni mailings straight into the burn barrel / recycling bin. Maybe its the Center for Lesbian Studies, their ranking as one of the "Greenest Universities in the US", constant Diversity Feedback polls, or well you get the picture... |
| What would even be better is if someone would print up some shirts with realistic looking handguns printed on them at the waist line. When tucked in, it would cause people to take a second look to see if you had a gun tucked in your waistband. Or just wear an empty holster or big old shoulder rig like one for a .44 mag. But then they'd probably pinch you for disorderly conduct. |
