Howdy guys. Me and the wife are headed up to near Monett from Texas this long weekend. Visting some friends going to do some shoot'n.
I got my approved ATF 2320.20 to bring my 10.5 SBR and bringing couple suppressors too. We also plan to go see the Bass P{ro Shop in Springfield is it true they have a range? What type range is it, Hand Gun- Rifle etc? Anything special going on up there during the labor day weekend? Thanks |

It is true that BP has a range, but its basically a culvert. I'm not sure how deep it goes or cost or their rules on guns. I was down there a month or so ago and their museum was still closed.
Check the MO conservation department web site to find public ranges in the area. I'm not from there, but there's got to be better places to shoot. |

Lots to do in Branson. Wilson's creek battlefield. From Monnett, Pea Ridge is a great place to visit. I may head down that way this weekend just to go to Wilson's Creek and Pea Ridge, then back pester my daughter in Springfield. The range at Bass Pro is a single lane thing for testing. Head over to Walnut Shade just north of Branson to Ozark Shooters for a public range. |

Thanks for the input guys. My wife wants to take me to Roaring River i know but some of the other suggestions sound good too.
She used to live near Monett (out in the country) so nows the area pretty good.I was onlt there once and we only was there three days so did not get to see much except have some dang good booze party's. We are leaving Thurdays morning so got more time this trip. |

Sound good thanks...

BPS has a fully functional indoor handgun range and a single rifle tube that extends east under their parking lot and Campbell St. The Andy Dalton Conservation Department range in Bois d'Arc NW of Springfield is a good place to shoot. |

Hello Yall. We sure had a great time in your wonderful state even though all the rain came up and we did not get to do all we wanted to do. The locals were really thankfuil for the rain. Its been dry in Texas also, our lawns are dead brown grass lol.
We stayed at some freinds of the wife farm of probbaly 400 acres. He leases the land for cattle as he is retired now.I got to shoot turtles in some ponds (we call them tanks in Texas) . My wife said now how many tirtle you want left? They said none... I did not get them all but put a big dent in the population with a AR15 22LR with suppressor. We made it to Bass Pro Shop. Great palce but really high prices. Went to Chicken Marys in Kansas. Had a great shooting session at our freinds son's place. They really liked my toys, most had never shot a AR15 and none had shot a suppressor. The 10.5 SBR was the wet your pants gun. I had a approved 5320.20 to tke it.They all loved the Armalite AR10 also, 50 Cal muzzle loader.Several handguns. We really put some small dents in my AR500 steel plate (gong) i took up there. You guys have a awesome state really freindly bunch of folks. Me and the wife are even considering moving up there when i retire at 66.(five more years) Even though rained all friday and saturday out last day sunday was beautiful.. After shooting had a great cook out supper party and drank a lot of beer lol.We can't wait until we can go back up again. The wife wants me to experience a winter up there before i go all in on moving though. Thank you Missouri...You guys rock! |
