Will be visiting the capital with a friend soon, wanted to know about the crime rate in the monuments area especially at night. We looked at the night time tour buses but thought a walking tour of the different monuments at night would be more fun. Any advice would be appreciated

They tend to be pretty aggressive about keeping the trash out of the mall.

Tag; also taking a trip soon. Guessing best recommendations are the same for any higher risk area; situational awareness, staying out of bad places/avoiding conflict, and generally having the appearance of not being a sheep.
