Many of are aware that somethings have been going on lately in regards to my business.  Many of you have inquired what's been happening, and others have been wondering why I've been absent.

This past weekend, I was out of town, and away from a computer because of the NRA Annual Meeting in Louisville.  That kept me pretty busy.  I haven't been avoiding ARFCOM, I've just been busy.

Also, I've been working hard to right a wrong.  I started a Group Buy on another forum, and it went awry.  Some of the reasons were beyond my control, but not all of them.  I am definitely at fault, and fully accept my responsibility.  I am in the midst of fixing that problem.

thanks for posting, frank. i got your IM, and understand that the undelivered raffle tickets are on the way to their respective owners, and that refunds are being issued in the case of the group buy.

it would help things out immensely if you were to post the same over on the other boards as well.

as far as the latter half of the post, i have edited that out, as it is not helping anyone here to air those grievances on the forums. please keep this stuff between yourself and the other party.

the guilt is there, and by admission. the important thing here is that he has resolved to fix it, and that there needs to be confirmation from those involved.

Two important lessons I've learned during my years on planet Earth:

1) No one is perfect, we all make mistakes, or fuck up every now and then.

and,

2) Don't judge a man by his mistakes, judge him by how he corrects those mistakes.

Yes, I screwed the pooch.  I've done it numerous times before, and will undoubtedly fuck up and piss someone off in the future.  That's human nature.  The important thing is that I am willing to admit my mistakes, and working hard to correct them.

Oh, and I appreciate the support from those around me who understand the concept of making mistakes in judgement and rectifying the problem.

Dude, don't know the details and really don't need to. We all screw up sometime, and sometimes it's because of others. What matters is how we handle it. IM inbound.

Glad to hear you working it out Frank.........and your right, we all make mistakes, and should be judged on how we right a wrong, not the wrong............ there has only been one perfect person........judge not lest you be judged. Good luck.

Per Hank's statements in the MG raffle thread I am placing this information in a more appropriate thread.

Oleg Volk called me earlier this evening. He has become fully aware of what OEF_Vet has been doing in reference to group buys on other boards and about the shadiness of the raffle and asked me to make a statement about them both. He has been talking to multiple sources and thinks he finally has the whole true picture.

He said he is going to confront Frank tonight at his house and lay it on the line that he needs to pay back everyone he owes money to and to get everything straightened out in reference to the raffle. He will let me know what Frank says.

I told Oleg that Frank needs to man up and post stuff himself and he will bring that up with him. People do not want to hear from 3rd party or secondhand sources and get pissed when they do but I promised him I would post this.

There are several things going on behind the scenes between Oleg and Frank that might finally resolve the issues Frank has. Oleg is a very honorable man and does not appreciate being associated with or colored with any of the apparent inproprieities (sp?) Frank is involved in.

Reference the group buy on other boards, all have been cancelled. In reference to the lightfighter one, only 5 refunds were issued. There are plenty of others and that is only one of the issues that will be resolved tonight according to Oleg.

When I hear anything else I will update further.

Well I just found this thread & in fitting time.
Today is also the first day I've heard back from Frank in reference to the buy he referenced above.

I believe it's pertinent that I repost the message here to actually give some insight into what has transpired.

Frank took advantage of the fact that he sold a 416upper to the boys from LF that they were going to give me after being wounded. He figured since he provided the upper that the boys paid over $3k for that I would run interference for his thievery.
Let alone the allegations that the cold cash from the LF guys paid for both uppers that were received by Frank & the 2nd was total profit for the business.

In hindsight, to my eternal shame, I did my best to quell any accusations that things were headed south.
I had given Frank the benefit of the doubt even after he quit posting updates on the buy for 3 months.
After a local TN member (who knew some of the story & has NO vested interest & is not in the business, ie not TNcop) saw Frank @ a show he contacted me & asked if we had received our uppers because Frank was selling them from the table.

When I made a mistake & left a voice mail referring to that all communications from Frank were dropped.
This is the only message I've had from him in over 9 months & it came today after all the other things were put in play.

The Devil speaks

From Frank
Andrew's money has been returned to him. You are no longer involved int he Group Buy, and neither is TNRobocop. I don't care how many lowers he says he's gotten, the fact is, I haven't been able to get any, and neither have a couple of other local dealers.

I am sending out money orders to other participants tomorrow. Not all will be getting their money right away, but all will be taken care of ASAP.

By the way, where was your rightous indignation when I let the guys on LF have a $5,000 upper for $3,000, so that you could have a one-of-a-kind rifle? I took a $2,000 hit on that upper. I'd think that would have bought a little more understanding on your part that sometimes things spiral out of control, and that it takes time to make things right.

FYI, my health has taken a drastic turn for the worse lately, and much of it is because of my worrying myself over making right on the LF Group Buy. I know I dropped the ball, and I am doing my level best to make it right. However, that hasn't been easy, especially when I had to take some time off from work to keep myself from dying.

I'm not looking for sympathy. If I wanted that, I'd look in the dictionary between shit and syphillis. Just bear with me, and things will be made right.

. . .

Frank
-----------------------------------------------
Me
You've got one hell of a sack.
You think that because you sold an upper that was given to me that you get a free pass to screw others over?

I am not a whore. I cannot be bought off & let shitty things get done because the perpetrator of said shitty deals has been good to me on an occasion.

Richard Ramirez mows my lawn while I'm broken & in bed, I'm still going to help the authorities hunt him down.

You are a liar about the lowers.
You've had them, you sold them, you picked up 20 more from Saber in Jan. [straight from Saber] You didn't get them engraved & send them, you evidently sold those as well. (did you notice the LF's taking phone pics @ your tables the last few shows?) Leaving the men you promised a delivery to holding nothing but money order & paypal receipts for almost a year. All the time ducking their calls & written inquiries as well.
You wouldn't pay back a dime without been pushed to.
You are a thief & your reckoning is coming.

Oleg Volk posted this on The High Road OEF MG raffle thread:

"I spoke with Frank last night. He said that several receivers are going out this morning and some ($600 or so) of refunds later this week.

I have a long association with Frank and he has always treated everyone I know right. This group buy worked out poorly and Frank is striving to make it right. I believe that he will do so promptly. For example, this weekend I helped photograph a number of guns Frank put up for sale to generate cash for refunds.

Tnroborop's characterization of my conversation with Frank is a little harsher than the reality. Frank is a friend and I just alerted him to the degree to which the public perception of problems with the group buy got out of hand. Since I do advertising graphics for ETS, I have a strong interest in it having a decent reputation."

So now he has money AND lowers a year after he ripped a bunch of guys off? Hmmmm....

Sir
I don't think so.
The lowers that were from the group buy were suppose to be Saber & engraved with a scroll & a Lightfighter acronym.

Hmm, well the one thing I have learned from reading the threads here over the past months is, "If you screw up, don't let TNrobocop find out. And I hope that somebody that cheats and steals from multiple deployed military people for a year, tries to run a scheme in the guise of a raffle so that they can earn 10's of thousands of dollars, and then tries to stab people in the back who helped him out when he didn't have reliable transportation, and a myriad of other stuff you have no idea about gets what he deserves, I am not that concerned.

He did not "screw up". A screw up is when you make a minor mistake and quickly correct it. When you hide out, ignore all attempts to contact you, keep the money sent to you in good faith to buy other stuff to sell, etc, etc, etc. that isn't a "screw up" or mistake. That is a deliberate act of a thief. I just call it as I see it and as a 19yr service vet and a FFL I find it highly offensive that my fellow servicemembers got fucked over by someone in my business and have tried to do what I can to help get the guys back their money.

The Frank love fest has gotten way old. Any other company that would do something like he has done would get the full court press from ARFCOM, yet here he gets a free pass.

And it isn't me doing this. If you look around there are lots of people that think he is a thief and a liar. You have no idea how many people call me, e-mail me, IM me, and talk to me at the shows asking what is up with OEF, am I getting ripped off, etc, etc.

Plus I have heard from multiple parties and other dealers that he was going around telling people we were working together..i.e. the same company. Bullshit. I run an honorable and fair business and will NOT be associated with shit like he pulls.

Maybe there is a better way to handle it when you feel offended? Did you buy into the "buy"? If not, you need, for your own health, to ease up on this situation. Keeping yourself angry/stressed/agressive is not good for ones health. I am not saying I wish ill upon him. I have had b-fast with him and his wife, and like the guy. I have been in the "angry/stressed/agressive" position before. And all I have to show for it is that I had a seizure. I pray that no one ever have that happen to them.

The thing that has gotten under my skin is people thinking that Frank and I work together which has never been the case. It gets old getting splattered by the shit he is slinging. Like I said he even was telling people we were the same company.

I don't play games like that. My main concern for my business is keeping it clean and away from Frank's antics and activities.

Hope this clears things up.

I am not a person that prays for harm upon others or believes in threating someone. As my post above explains, I am making a serious comment about how  one's health can really be affected by ones mood. I am living proof of it.

edit to add this:

Tank, just to let you know that anyone that has met me and would feel threatened by me is, just funny. After all I a just such a big bad scary computer network engineer geek.

One problem with the internet is you can not tell the inflection in the person's voice when some thing is typed. When I read it, and I do not have a dog in this fight, it just did not sound good. So just thought I'd let you say how you ment it.....

It's all good. But tank I do have a problem with you. Your web site http://www.junk-halftracks.com
is not working and I want to see what you gots.

Frank, I've been trying to get a hold of your partner Ryan Neilson for several weeks(this has nothing to do with your problems on this thread!) All the phone numbers I have for him are no longer in service and he has moved. Any Info would be appreciated. Thanks

The last word I got from Gunny, who Ryan setup with at the Goodman shows, is that Ryan is in Georgia. Atlanta Metro area most probably. Lots of rumors but nothing substantiated. Suppossedly moved down there with a girl he was seeing.

HTH.

Well I have gotten some IMs and E-Mails from other people that Frank owe's money and/or stuff they bought from him that they haven't received the items or money refunded. Some of these guys are local TN guys so here is a news update if you want to ask him yourself since everybody is saying that he won't contact them via phone, e-mail, IM, etc.....

I spotted Frank at the Bill Goodman Gun Show in Nashville today. The show is 9-5 Sat and 9-4 Sun, July 12/13.

He has one (1) table he is setting up at this show. It will probably have OD green table covers and he usually has a wood stand with the Thompsons and AC556 that are up for raffle along with a glass case with his suppressors in it along with AR's, SBS's, and whatever C&R crap he usually drags with him from the gun show he operates out of.

Come to town and be sure to stop by and say hi to him guys! Maybe you can find the items you paid for on his table and save him the time and trouble of shipping them....

Well, I can say I met them twice with shared space and thought they were partners

I guess he (TNROBOCOP) is trying to seperate himself from OEF for "newbies like me" that don't know them other than together.

Of course that is my opinion and we all know what those are like...............

im pretty sure he is doing it because he hates to see people scammed. as seen on other sites, OEF has a bad reputation.

i purchase from TNROBOCOP so i dont get "franked"

As the former owner of ETS, Inc. I've dealt with Frank for many years, both selling to him, and now, as a customer of his. In fact I picked up three NFA items from him today, as promised, and have two more in the works...

I bought a spikes lower from him at the last Memphis gun show.
He seems like a stand up guy. I mailed off my paperwork to SBR it and forgot to include my 200 check. All my falt. ATF kicked it back to him and I mailed him a 200 check about five weeks ago. I should be hearing something in about three more weeks. His work looked great I am usually a good judge of caracter. I am going to hold judgement untill the deal is done, as I have plans for some more work for him to do. Again the mistake was all my fault, but Ill keep everyone posted.
