I'm starting to think the deep down inside the VBots know that Visconti has no chance, yet they support him for one main reason - they subconsciously actually want Malloy re-elected. WHAT?!
But let's discuss why. My theory? They are of the mindset that "it has to get worse before it gets better". They don't actually want Visconti to win. They want Malloy to win so that we get more gun control. They want to further the gun control agenda. Let's digger deeper shall we? Why, TonyTiger76, would they possibly want MORE gun control?! That doesn't make sense! Yes, they do want more gun control. Similar to how nutjobs like the Iranian Prime Minister trying to bring about the 13th Imam, or ISIS wanting to bring about the Caliphate, Visconti supporters want to bring more gun control, including confiscation, so as to rile up individuals to take up arms. If you take a look at the hardcore VBots that spam the usual FB groups, (you know the types), you might be reminded they were the ones calling for things like CCDL to become a militia and organizing call trees shortly after SB1160 passed. I am all for people having such preparations if the time ever comes, but that's stuff you don't talk about online, especially on a public forum like FB. You just don't do it. Come on. Anyone with half a brain should be smarter than that. But that's the thing - the VBots aren't that smart! See - the people calling for those things tend to be in the same camp as Visconti supporters. They are one and the same. Their support for the V-Man is directly tied to their confiscatory fantasies. In fact, it wouldn't surprise me if people view Visconti as some type of revolutionary. He does try to play the part. His run for governor is a charade. What he really wants to attract, I think, is a following. He sees himself as some new type of leader. CT's Paul Revere or Ben Franklin of the 21st century. And his supporters are ready to idolize him. But in order for that to happen, Foley must lose and Malloy must win. I am truly scared for Malloy's potential re-election, and what I described above is one of many reasons why. Don't get me wrong, I feel very slighted by SB1160, but it's not the time for short circuiting the current political process. The country doesn't have the momentum it would need for such a thing (not yet). Or maybe, I'm just as paranoid if not more than they are...?
