My wife and I went to the polls around 9:30 this morning. There were about 220 people (440 ballots) before us.
We both voted Fung and Hodgeson along with a bunch of other R's. I'm definitely concerned about Healey taking votes away from Fung ... especially up here in the NW part of the state. |

Listening to the Tara Granahan show about 5 pm, just about every caller said they voted for Healey. Noone in this fucking state ever learns anything. This is how we got chafee. WTF? Ri is traded. Tara is an idiot......Healey supporters are alot like Ron Paul supporters, a vocal minority. Im not sure if Fung can win, but I hope he does. He ran an inept campaign, I just hope Doreen Costa wins. |

Looking good for Fung. He's up 5%. I'm VERY confident Doreen will win. I've heard zero about Hodgson... |

http://www.providencejournal.com/politics/general-election/2014/#governor Looks like the Dems won but with less of a majority than usual. So, Rhode Island, are you gonna fight or flee Gina's tyranny?

Im not sure. Raimundos views are not much different from Chaffees. If I read this right Costa and Chippendale won. If so maybe we will be okay, Chaffee couldn't get anything done after Newtown. Anyhow If not Im in a posistion to leave....but Id rather not.
One thing that RI must due is make a law that a canadate must win by 51%, This is the second time we got f6cked by a 3rd party. ETA FINN WON BY 15 VOTES |

ETA FINN WON BY 15 VOTES I don't know, for a while her whole campaign was about banning guns. After everything got shot down she kind of shut up about it and moved her focus to other things but I think she will revisit asap. |

Fight, but I don't know if I will be able to afford the stamps for letters or the electricity for emails after the bleeding heart progressives make this state more of a sanctuary state. We are so fucked on so many different levels |

I think the Ratmundo brings a new zeal, a new perspective and a ton of out of state money.
The Senate and Assembly are going to be anxious to work with her. Picture the witch and her flying monkeys ... We defeated the 2014 gun bills by just one vote (at least in the Senate Judiciary Committee). The upcoming year(s) will bring our largest battle(s) yet and I wouldn't be a bit surprised to see our rights as law-abiding firearm owners shrink with her leading the fight. |

That was under Speaker Fox, things have changed...right? Plus do you believe she will make this a priority? Theres so much other thing I think she needs to spend her political capitol on. |

Speaker Fox only controlled the House and with that said, his successor, Madiello (sp?) wasn't interested in pursuing anti-gun bills that were all but a lost cause when he first stepped in to the Speaker position. Paiva-Weed headed the Senate and is anti-gun. If it wasn't for the Senate Judiciary Committee tabling all the bills there was a good chance that the anti-gun bills would have advanced in the Senate. Paiva-Weed was just re-elected and more than likely will hold onto her head of Senate position. I do not think the Wicked Witch of RI will make guns a priority for now. Come summer time it's anyone's guess. Don't forget that a huge portion of her war chest came from out of stater's. Mostly due to her actions regarding the pension changes, but there was also a fair amount of Bloomberg money donated to her campaign. I find it very hard to believe Bloomberg and the other anti-gunners won't want something in return and it wouldn't surprise me one bit if they haven't been on the phone with her asking when. In any case The WWofRI can not propose legislation herself (as I understand it), but I'm sure she has already gotten a list together of legislators that will very happily champion anti-gun bills for her. I don't think it would be a bad idea for us to write/email/call the new legislators in February to see where they stand. |
