| Who is going next weekend? |
|
I'll probably make it to the show on sunday. I'll be bringing my girlfriend to her first gunshow. I'd much rather make it to the show on saturday, but I'm in Texas this week and won't be back until sat night. Hopefully there will still be some good items left on sunday. I not, I'm not too worried since I'll be bringing a new (to me) Springfield 1911 back from Texas. |

Yes, it was a friggin madhouse there. When I arrived at 8:45 the line was about 150 yards long and around the left side of the building. I ran into PK90 and a friend of his there, or should I say he found me! I rang your 609 number Lugerman thinking it might be your cell, but when a sweet voice came on the voice mail, I figured it was your home number instead and didn't leave a message. It was a last minute thing for me to go up there this morning. Sorry we missed each other again. I scored a tactical case for one of my AR's and some SHTF ammo for my 870. The ammo prices were nothing special. Same for the AR prices. And of all the ARs there, I bet you could count all the Jersey-legal ones on one hand! Wish we had fun shows like that here in the PRNJ ETA I finally own a page! And it only took me 689 posts! |

i got there about 12.30 and was trying to sell off a g22 and maybe score a garand or a 1903.i saw some awful prices on garands and diddnt see very much of 03's, a few beat up specimens and some collector grade stuff. about 20 people finger fucked my g22 but i got no offers. i bought some ammo and the price on that stuff keeps rising. im thinking about saving my 223 brass and reloading if it goes much higher. i would have liked to run into some of the members here but no luck on my part. |

Just got back . It was packed !! Found some NIW LaBelle preban mags for $10 ea and some USGI ponchos & liners for $10 also , Nice clean 50cal ammo cans $5 ea . USGI M-1 Carbine 30's for $12 each still in the brown oil paper wrap , but I missed out on the Swiss issue sleeping bags for $5 . There was 2 huge boxes . So I figured I'd pick one up on my way out . Damn things sold out in an hour and a half Other then that it was the typical top dollar gun show crap . The cheapest AR I saw was an olly plinker for $675 , cheapest garand $800 , the only gun that was near a deal was some nice Russian Moisin M-44's for $140 -180 |
No problem. I'll see you at the Phila Armory show at the end of the month. |

I went later in the day, around 3pm. The show was empty (tumbleweeds rolling across the floor). About 10 overpriced Colt preban ARs and no bushmasters. Ammo prices were OK but about 10-15% more than mail order, even after shipping. Overall I think this is my last gun show, there's just very little of interest at these things. |
Did you check with TONY? I'm not sure about whose parts he uses, but he does build you an upper on the spot. |
That is about the time Bushman_269 and I walked out the door. We had gotten there at 12. We were going to buy powder and primers from Tony but decided in the end to combine our shopping list, order from Powder Valley and split the shipping and hazmat costs. One guy had Stag lowers for $120 and Stag LPKs for $65. His prices on Stag uppers were decent also. We recommended that he hit the Middletown show since nobody sells lowers there now. Our next road trip will be to the Springfield, MA show and that may be it for me. Gun shows are getting to be like computer shows to me. I can do better online. Overall, the trip from Orange County to Valley Forge as not bad at all. If we make the trip again, it will include a side trip to Geno's in Philly for a cheese steak. |
That's too funny! I got there with the wife around 11:00am while walking around my wife said " Look, NIW 30rd mags from 1984 for 10.00". I said we don't need those, someone from NY will pick those up. There were 2 of them if these were the same ones I saw in poly dated bags. I ended up picking up 2 Centers Inds LEOs for 24.00 otd. Living in PA sure is nice! |
As long as you don't live in Philthydelphia, yes, it certainly beats our two communist states, doesn't it! And now offf to the range for a Rifle Team practice ETA: The clock on the arfcom server didn't make the switch to Daylight Savings! |
Yeah it sucks to have to search for Pre 94 mags . That's part of the reason I go to the out of state shows . Lot's of the gun show vendors I have talked to say they had heard NOT to bring any NIW 30 round mags into NY shows . Regardless of date . Not sure how true it is , but I've heard it from 3-4 vendors in the past couple of years . The one's I picked up were from a vendor that had around 100 for sale in the poly bags . I bought 25 and seriously considered buying all they had , but I didn't want to be greedy because I know there are other who made the trip for the same reason . Besides , my days in NY are numbered . By this time next year I plan to be living someplace where I can scratch that select fire and suppressed itch I've had for too long |
The show was PACKED!!!! most people ive seen there in awhile, picked up a case of Hungarian lite ball some brit 7.62x51 to try in the PTR. some 9mm largo, BDU belts, and finally eat it and bought my lower Picked up an eagle arms for 130 OTD, and got my BUIS for the build. Overall it was good.

I drove over from NY on Sunday just for some mags, so thanks for leaving some. I bought 6 of the NIW 30's 1988's at $12 each, so I left a happy camper. |
| I didnt go to this last show but my friend picked up a mint used Rock River AR-15 for $650.... The show before last i picked up 2,000 rounds of Guat 5.56 for $185 per 1,000rnds (that was cheaper then i could find it online) then i stopped at the Texas or Lone Star steak house down the road and when i got out the traffic was so bad i ended up going thru Philly to get back to NJ ....... Which also had a ton of traffic |
