Back in the late 1980s and early 1990s when I worked in Vienna, my favorite place to go for lunch was the Vienna Inn on Maple Avenue. Chili dogs were $1.25, and they were spectacular. That place would be jammed at lunchtime, especially on Fridays when all of the military and civilian workers from the "Beltway Bandits" at Tysons Corner would go there for lunch.
I understand that the old man who ran the place has died, and that his son sold it several years ago. I've got a real hankerin' for a good chili dog, and am considering a drive from western Loudoun to Vienna to get me a couple.....but only if they're REALLY good, like the ones I used to get there at the "VI". Anybody eat there lately? |

Its still in place and same prices and same set up! nothing has changed, maybe some new items on the menu but everything is the same Good going in, but hell going out lol How about the banner over the cash register that said: YOU SITS WHERE MOLLY SAYS YOU SITS |

Difference from the 80-90s is that no smoking and the most of the original generation has passed. Been a couple of fires since the 90's. Saw more families then earlier eras, but the beer is cold and the chili-dogs I think are still beer basted. Quoted:
not sure if I saw it, but all decorations are there same small bar in the middle with old local dude taking smack to the bartender |
