Coming into town tomorrow for work. Wondering if anyone can recommend some places to grab a bite to eat and maybe a beer on St Patty's day? I'll be staying over by the Civic Center and working by the airport.

The Wharf in Hallowell (just outside Augusta)

Great music spot.

Wharf, Liberal Cup (yes it is kinda how it sounds though), Slates, Riverfront BBQ, Lisa's, Red Barn if you're into fried seafood and chicken, AHOP for breakfast, Bagel Mainea, Damons, Big G's if you make the 20min drive to Winslow...I could go on...

I work for the Maine Guard right by the airport.

Thanks for the recommendations everybody.  Tonight is my last night in town so I think I'll give Liberal Cup a try.

Enjoy

I had drunken fried rice Thai at cafe de Bangkok in Hallowell last night, it was outstanding. First time I'd eaten there.
