Going on vac. tomorrow to South Carolina and plan on taking a gun what do I need to know. Anyone frequent SC and know their laws. I don't plan on carrying just keeping it in the ride incase

I believe that SC is the only state that borders GA that doesn't have the reciprocity with GA.
Check the NRA website.
If you carry the gun in your car, better keep it hidden.

In SC keep it in a console or glove box. Also you have a duty to notify if you have contact with LE.
