Hi all,
I will be in PA (NE of Philly) next week for a few days. I have a CCW from NC which has Reciprocity with PA. What are some key things I will need to know and where can I find the laws for carring in PA? Thanks, Brewz |

The lawul purposes exemption for schools (not colleges; no issues there) has never been tested in court. Concealed means concealed. Open carry except in Philly proper (requires a CCW to carry open; don't know if OOS would apply and it isn't worth the aggrevation to find out). You don't have to tell a cop you are carrying You can carry in a place that serves alcohol It's a license to carry a gun, not any other weapon. I think that about sums it up. |

While there is nothing in the firearms code prohibiting concealed carry on a college campus; most institutions of higher education prohibit the possession of firearms on their campus. Have fun in PA. Oh, just in case....I always go to the State Atty. Gen. web page for whatever state I am visiting and look for the actual agreement and print it out. Here it is-http://www.attorneygeneral.gov/uploadedFiles/Crime/Signed%20NC%20Agreement.pdf |
