So I will be visitng praha for the second time. Oct 22-26. First time i was passing through on my way in and out of lithuania, this time I will get to see more than just the airport (which I actually do like!)
What is there to do, besides drink beer and gawk at gorgeous Czech women? I like airplanes, war museums, anything related to firearms/hunting and good food. I know there is an aviation museum in Praha. What else should I go see? Any locals or anyone else whose been there have ideas? Any good military surplus/antique/bookstores? I also am a big fan of anything that has to do with the downfall of communism I will have some company at least for part of the time, a girl I know from LT is finishing school for civil engineering there, she has promised to take me out drinking/ clubbing/ etc |

Hi,
Iam from Prague Besides military museun at VÃtkov there is museum LeÅ¡any few train stops from the city:
if you are more into ancient weapons, Prague castle has great collection Prague has s-it load of military shops, but if you want something more local oriented i recomend Naše Vojsko store/publisher. And you can rent semi-auto Scorpion EVO 3 at shooting range. I also am a big fan of anything that has to do with the downfall of communism
Wait for next year - they will win elections.. |

Václav Klaus is president, not member of government. And contemporary coalition is rather unpopular, so was the previouse one.
Czech political joke: A: Who do you gonna vote? B: Commies. A: Sure, but which party? About restaurants with Czech cuisine - the thing is when I eat out in Prague I usualy go to Brasilian/Italian etc restaurants. My granny cooks well, so I dont have reason to do so. I know great Czech restaurants in countryside though. Gotta ask coleagues about one in center. Any way, let me know when you arrive. |

You might want to visit the CZ-Store vis-a-vis the central train station
cz-ub I sadly didn`t when I was there last year. |
|
There is one more gun shop in the same street as cz-store - more western oriented though, plus one metrostop from main train station is shooting range.
Let me know if you want to tour gunshops or rent gun - shop usually dont let foreigners/folks without licence to touch guns +range fee is significantly higher. About museums: I reccomend Police museum - they have home-made tank used to cross border during communism:-D Tank |
