MrSparkle and I were watching house on Tuesday when we heard a yelp outside. There was a fluffy cat at our slider door. It was below 30 that night and we didnt have the heart to ignore it. We brought it inside with the idea in our mind that we would find its home the next day. We aren't having much luck and we already have three cats. Who are SO not happy about the visitor. To make it a little worse we are going out of town for all of next week and the cat can't stay here. I'd hate to take it to the not so humane society but our only other choice is to kick it back outside. I dont know if it would survive the coyotes or the cold.

Anyone want a cat or have any ideas?

If the above mentioned cat was a small to medium dog (40lbs and under) I would be happy to take it..................but since it is a cat...............

This cat is super friendly.  Someone needs to take him.  Please!

Call PAWS, I'm not sure where you are located or if they are in your area, but they are a non euthanizing facility.

You could always just eat it.

lol.

I wish I could take it, but my cat is past his expiration date and wouldnt take kindly to a young upstart taking the nice warm spots.

I think I'm gonna try and get a dog next, anyway..

Good luck.

Well thanks anyways to the everyone who at least considered. We took him in to see if he had a chip. No luck.

Asked our neighbors if they were missing a cat. Most of them are but not this cat and we couldnt talk them into taking him.

Well, at least you still have the BBQ option.

BBQ cat is not as tasty as it may seem, far to greasy and tough, though the taste can be masked with hella spices.  That is, at least the way Chinese street vendors in Beijing cook it.

So after many weeks of trying to find this kitty a home...we found his ACTUAL home. MrSparkles mom posted a bulletin at kitsap school district and someone who worked at one of the high schools lives down the street from us. She called us and asked if she could see the cat because she was missing one that looked identical. IT WAS HERS!!! I am so glad I stuck it out with this kitty to give him back to his family. I just couldnt bare to send him to the humane society and I'm glad I made the choice I did.

Anyway...thanks for listening.

That's very cool that they got their cat back after so many weeks of it being gone from them.

Hooray for a Happy Ending!
I didn't see this thread before, and was about to suggest Meow Cat Rescue, a (no-kill) shelter in Kirkland.  Glad no need this time, but it's worth keeping in mind.
