It looks like a big flashlight — but it's really a nonlethal weapon designed to make you sick.

DHS hopes to equip police, Border Patrol agents and National Guardsmen with the barf-beamers by 2010.



I gotta tell you, if Joe Blow pointed one of these at you, you have to assume they're up to no good...  While the strobe is nonlethal, their intent may not be...  How do you treat it?  Then you have to wonder, if they make it look like every other flashlight, do you treat them all as if they're nonlethal weapons being pointed at you?

I wonder how long it takes to make someone blow chunks? I'd hate to have some wack job stabbing me while I'm shining a flashlight in his face.
