Helluva little storm came through NW of Kingfisher....power out everywhere!....Ripped off roofs..flipped RV trailers...I don't know what all's fucked up?
I'm running the generator for the house...done picked up my shingles and sawed up most of the front yard down limbs. I hear through the grapevine that possibly miles of powerlines are down..

This little storm was some sort of serious!
Just minutes before it broke loose..Gary England was reporting the storm wasn't very impressive up close.  I beg to differ...it was fairly impressive. I thought we were having a tornado for a bit...but I do believe it was all just straight winds.
My roof is damaged...but I've already got a roofer on the way from the previous hailstorms. Still running on a generator this morning..I need to empty the load of limbs from the truck and go get some gasoline I guess. As soon as I go get some generator fuel...the power will come back on..it always does.

My power went off, and on, and off, and on, and off, and on, ..... so many times last night I lost count. It started at when the storm hit.
I went to the C store and sat around outside with my buddy and other riff raff that came by last night discussing world affairs. Very deep conversations. 
I saw OG&E popping cut outs off and on at an intersection for over three hours. About 3 AM the store's power came on and I headed home. Power was still off. This morning I rolled the generator out, stretched cords to refrigerator, freezer, etc and fired it up about 6 AM. The power just came back on. They must have been switching feeds and popping overloads all over the place with everybody's AC coming on line at the same time. I'm sure they had to start the different neighborhood grids up one at a time to not overload the system like they did last night and popping fuses and reclosers. It is one frigged up mess out there..... |
