Does it drive anyone else crazy when you see people using the wrong handgun grip? On the news this AM were showing footage from the Ben Avery shooting range and I think every one they showed had a piss poor grip. I don't like to be one of those people that come off as a know it all, but when I see people doing it wrong I will occasionally ask if they are open to a suggestion.

Tea cupping and the thumb behind the slide just drive me crazy.

This is a slide from my previous business.

Totally!!!  I used it as a teaching moment, especially when I worked at an indoor range for 3 years.  Finger to finger, thumb to thumb!  I dont know how many slide thumb bites I prevented, but it was a lot!

dont get me started on the hollywood wrist grip!!

I just myob about this now.  I was at the range and saw a young person holding their 22lr pistol this way.  I attempted to help him change his grip and he just argued with me.

You would think common sense would tell someone even new to shooting that thumb behind the slide is a no no but it seems like almost every new shooter I see tries it at first.
