| Last week the Walmart in Whitehall had 45acp Speer which was $11.97 today it was $14.97. Everything went up... |

i dont generally shop at retail stores for ammo, but i was in Dicks sporting goods, and i was told Feb. 1, ALL prices will be raised 1$ a box across the board for everything. hinking.gif Drakin |
ok, so on top of the 1 Jan price increase, which we were all warned about from a few different manufacturers last summer, there is now an across the board Feb price increase? Hell, at this point, maybe I will have to look for a cheaper hobby, like trying my hand at building my own personal airplane, or collecting german race cars...

You are still believing the old saying that what goes up must come down. I wouldn't bet the farm on it. |
|
It ain't comin' down 'til we start collectively start thinking outside the box. A group buy in one form or another....even if we gotta make it ourselves is the beginning of the right mindset. If you could get all ARFcom and even the other sites to come together on this, we could generate some leverage, I would think. Better yet, run this thru the NRA where you could really get some numbers going. No doubt, the circumstances here could be labeled de facto gun control ....."their AWs will be useless without ammo"! Lotsa giant obsticles here, but real American ingenuity can see us prevail. United we stand; divided were dog shit under Hillary's shoes ! |
Unless your plan involves a source of copper or lead, it ain't gonna happen. |
|
Exactly! and not only the raw materials , but an arrangement to secure them at their scouce. And then the facilities to transform everything into a finished product. No one person or even a group has a chance... this has to be done on a large scale, and when the gun owners in this country wake up and get off their collective asses, then just mebby we'd have a prayer of getting this in motion. Any less and the BGs win. Of course there are other options (after all, political power comes out of the barrel of a gun) but those are even far less likely given our utter lack of collective resolve ! |

Ha Ha, they can keep all their freakin over priced ammo... ill go hiking and camping its FREE for the most part, i get more out of it... and i need the exersice. this ammo shit is out of control. get used to it nothing. ill do something else. i was at a store tonight - 46.99 for a 20 round box of 168 Federal GMM. that's just OUTRAGOUS ! |
Perhaps I was being unclear before. It isn't going to happen, period. What you propose is, quite simply, not possible. Not now and not ever. But don't let me discourage you. Feel free to start working on coming up with the billions of dollars in working capital you'll need to get this project off the ground. Once you have that in place, we can move on to the little problem of finding a new, untapped source of raw materals to use. After that, someone else will have to guide you because I'll be dead of old age by then (I'm 38 now). Good luck. |
