My son is wanting to go to this gun show and I think it would be a fun trip for him and I. My questions are where are some good places to look at staying? And also anything else to checkout while we are in town? And last, what are the places we need to eat at? I like checking out new places to try that aren’t your chain restaurants
Thanks for any suggestions |

Bring your walking shoes. It's almost impossible to see every table there even if you attend both days. If you stay in Owasso (off Highway 169) you'll be within 15-20 minutes of the fair grounds where the show is held.
Owasso has all your chain hotels and there are plenty of restaurants in the area as well. Hoping to go myself as I haven't been in a couple of years. It's an election year so might be crowded. Definitely one of those shows you need to see at least once. If you're looking for anything in particular it will probably be there. |

View Quote For local restuaurants you might try The Spudder or Jamil's. The Spudder is a local steakhouse run by descendants of the Phillips Petroleum clan and has some interesting decor. Jamil's is also a decent steakhouse. Oklahoma Joe's BBQ in Broken Arrow (by Cabella / Bass Pro) is good. Los Cabos in Owasso has reasonable mexican food. |

I don't do a lot of tax, but I still do some, so I stay busy in April. You all will love it. It is like a museum, but even better in some ways because you can touch many of the guns. If you get a chance go to the J.M. Davis Gun Museum in Claremore. It is free and was the largest private gun collection in the world. Run by the State of Oklahoma now. |

I would look at staying in Catoosa, OK. Lots of options there and it's not too far in the morning to get to the show. A number of hotels, Hard Rock Tulsa, plus a number of restaurants.
Good luck! |

You can get a "exhibitor" badge on Friday at 10 or 11am for about a hundred bucks. Gets you in to wander with no crowd on Friday then you can get in with the vendors and use their entrance/exits

Talley's would be a good place to start breakfast& lots of the vendors eat there. Will be set up downstairs in the Browning section(shameless self promotion)! |
