[ARCHIVED THREAD] - We need a range.

I moved here almost 3 years ago and I have only found 3 ranges in my area, Illinois gun works, bells, and gunworld. 2 of them are not open. I am off this weekend and I was looking forward to shooting my rifle I built over the winter. I am now seeing that there is nowhere to shoot it. Anyone know of a few rifle ranges?

Whereabouts do you live? When the weather warms up there is Buffalo Range out west and there is GAT Guns in Kane County and Rinks in Lockport.

I did click the link and most ranges on there are private. I guess I will try to get off on the 28th to go to the pit. if not there is always next year. Also we are trying to find a range where we can shoot rifles.

I find the same problem. It seems there's only the pit around northern IL. We need a good long rifle range up here!

I'm central and I belong to 2 private clubs plus am building a 900 yard range on my farm.

I checked the list.
I am in Springfield and would like to find a long range rifle range. Only one near is private and only 100 yds. I guess I will call.

Any other suggestions?

Update...looks like PASA has a 600 yd range and membership is 25.00.

Only 85 miles from me.
