Rog will be out with his lantern tonight Mind you I'm glad I'm not in the windy north - looks evil up there. Time to put more logs on the fire |

I don't understand why tidal power is not being more intensively developed. Tides can be timed to the minute and so output will be predictable, even though nuclear etc will still be required. Wind is completely random, needs the backup as well, although if the hot air from Hollyrood and Westminster could be harnessed we would be in a strong position. |

I think they're a blot on the landscape We've got 22 of them in North Devon - biggest onshore wind farm. Ugly and not that efficient |

I think they're a blot on the landscape Agreed. That fat numpty Salmond seems determined to cover the country with the bloody things, despite serious doubts and questions being put by engineers and scientists, he just ignores or shouts down inconvenient questions. They are blighting people's lives and destroying house values but the planning presumption is in their favour because it's his policy. |

Just added my recent solar panel installation to the home insurance. For the priceley sum of £14 a year.
Checked with the person on the phone, and I am definitely covered if they fly off the roof and cause damage! I will sleep easy tonight! Even the single storey conservatory roof it grumbling in the wind, dread to think what the wind is like on the roof! |
