| Anyone here in VA have a good spot to escape to? I'm looking for a bed and breakfast or lodge type thing to get away this weekend with my girlfriend. Wish me luck, I don't know what it's like outside of the basement. |

My wife and I loved this place when we went a few years ago: Cair Paravel Farm B&B
Its run by a former professional chef and pretty cool if you have never stayed in a yurt before. |

not sure where you are or want to go,,
however, we have stayed at the following, sometimes multiple trips, and enjoyed,, Mark Addy Inn, near wintergreen, lots of wineries, brewpubs, and great scenery Mountain Rose Inn, just off 8, not far from Floyd and the Blue Ridge Parkway, very nice place, The Mimslyn, hotel, but very nice, in Luray High Meadow Vineyard Inn, in Scottsville, stayed in both the old house, and the cottage out back, good times, nice restaurant (owned by the hostess' son) in town, and a decent brewery and coffee shop in town Barboursville Vineyards, they have an Inn, and some cottages, highly recommend the cottages , but they are pricey, nice and secluded, damn good wine, one of our favorite places, |
