My permanent move to Arizona starts tomorrow morning.  Fifteen years in St. Louis; time to move on.

It has been great knowing some of you.

Here's a little tease.  My future front porch view:

Future reloading/ham shack and guest quarters:

I've tried and tried, but the longest shot I can get and stay on my property is 892 yards.  If I use the BLM land that borders me, that gets extended a little to 3,993 yards.  Of course, I'd have to cut down the tree.

Drone view.  Turn down the volume to avoid annoying drone noise.

I've seen speed goats and deer on the property, and signs of deer.  Of course, prairie dogs and jackrabbits are EVERYWHERE.

St. Johns is 40 miles away.  The nearest decent sized town is Show Low, which is about 65 miles away.  Springerville is about the same distance as Show Low.

I will be hauling water.  Wells are really expensive.  There's a community well where the water is free to land owners.

That's an expensive weed whacker you've got there. And not very efficient either.

I still don't get why people are moving to the desert when conditions and access to water are only going to get worse. But enjoy. My Ex in laws are out there. And a cousin. And an aunt and uncle.

Hey, you'll be right next door to this guy.

You should buy him dinner. He's done a lot for the CCW community nationwide. Or at least sign up for his newsletter.

I haven't seen a single snake in the two months (not in a row) I've been out here.  No scorpions either.  But, yes, I'm always watching for them.

I have seen antelope and one neighbor has seen elk on his property.

You're right.  I go to Show Low quite a bit.  I'll have to look him up.
