Today I was surfing around and came across what seemed to be a pretty darn good price for some .458 SOCOM ammo.  300 grain hollowpoint to be exact.  So I went ahead and ordered some.  But the thing of it is, I don't even own anything chambered in .458 SOCOM.  Could this be a ploy of my sub-conscience to provide a rational reason for me to order a .458 upper?  Or am I possibly aflicted with some kind of illness?

I have never bought ammo for something I didn't own before.....

Have you?

Yep and am going to again here pretty soon. Im fixin to pick up some 5.45 while its cheap. I had a SAR 2 and sold it because ammo was almost impossable to find so now Im gonna get a few cases and wait till I find a reasonable priced SAR. Theres nothing wrong with being prepared!!

Been there, done that, and have a box of 38-40 ammo to prove it.

If I know I'm going to buy a particular gun, I always like to buy the accessories first.  Ammo, mags, scopes, etc.  That way, when I actually get the gun in my grubby paws I can immediately go shoot it.
