I posted this in the Outdoor forum
but also am specifically interested in what my fellow Oklahoman s have to say thanks I lived in the state of Washington for a few years - in the Seattle/Redmond area. The state had a very visible 3 day survival program that they pushed very consistently and persistently due to the possibility of natural disaster scenario. Earthquake being the chief focus; 3 days of food, water, essentials were the main idea. Online instructional s, giant billboards on buses, public service commercials. In retrospect - this may be what started me on the prepper path more seriously - but the blizzard of '75 in Omaha where I was stuck in an office for 3 days with no spare clothes, sleeping bag etc was a eye opener also. What started your 'path' as a Prepper? |
I started prepping in high school. A good buddy came down with the bull headed clap and it almost killed him. Since then I avoid all truck stops Patrickcudd frequents and always carry an old bicycle inner tube to use as a condom along with a triple dose of amoxicillin.

Yeah, I guess you can't put a window unit AC in a windowless teepee. You could cut a window out but then other Indians would make fun of you...it's a no win scenario. *gotta go, the AC is cranked down so far in here I need a second blanket*
I'm no prepper....I just like to be prepared. |

I did it the easy way; I found a chick that owns a house with good a/c then started going out with her |
