I'm looking to get a personal flashlight that I can carry in my pocket.  I've found the Fenix brand of lights but have never heard of them before.  Are the ok or am I wasting money?

Being the resident SF Fanboy the only option for me is the E1B.

I thought "Chinese crap" when I first saw the fenix brand.  Then I found a deal on a tk-10, and thought, what the hell a a 200+ lumen led flashlight for 60 bucks.  I love that flashlight now and am a believer and will definitely buy another fenix...

I still like my surefires and streamlight, but for the money, fenix is the best deal going.

I like the E1L I think it is by SF .... only thing that I dislike about it is the pocket clip, I wish it was reversed so the lens was facing into my pocket.

I wonder if I could buy a body and use the head and tail cap off my E1L.

I really love this light I throw it in my pocket every day I put pants on.

Fenix is good to go. I bought an LD10 at a gun show a while back and it's been in my pocket every day since. The original AA battery the dealer put in it lasted almost a year with daily use.

Same on the Fenix tk-10. I am 100% happy with it.

Jason, I have a fenix P2D that I carry daily. Its pretty banged up now but still works like a charm. Ut has been through the washing machine atleast a dozen times and dunked in salt water more times then I care to count.

I bought one of these after getting a "tactical" light and a work light.  Its the greatest thing since sliced bread- reversible clip, adjustable brightness, simple and reliable operation.

You pre-select 2 brightness levels and then switch between those two levels by loosening or tightening the bezel.  I use the light for everything- every day carry, working on the car, camping, etc.

I've had a Fenix P3D for 18 months. It is a very well built light. The high beam is very bright, on low it will last a long time. Small enough to carry in a pocket.

Fenix TK-10 kicks much butt!  So much so I sold my SF, got another Fenix and a Solarforce for work.

All have worked flawlessly.  I abuse the solarforce a lot and I mean abuse in the worst way, never a problem. Sf is way overrated IMHO.

I've got several of the life gear cheap chinese crap at target. They are great for light and they cost 1/10th of sure fire. When i lose them i do not cry...

I've had 2 fenix flashlights.

The first I had for 2 years working on buses... it's hit the floor from the top of a bus no damage, fallen in the lift pit 10' down into 3' of oil, grease, water, diesel fuel, and waste.... got it out cleaned it off and it was still shining.

Gave it to my dad and bought another this year with different modes...

Won't use anything else but it!

Jason, bring it to Joe's low light class on January 2nd and let's compare which is brighter!

I second that.  Get the LED version.  One lives in my pocket.

I have no direct experience with the Fenix brand, but have heard good things about them. I know most of the guys I work with carry Surefire or Pelican lights. I know that SF and Pelican have outstanding customer service on their lights. I just recently ordered and E2D Led from SF with a dozen batteries and it came to just under $150. This little light is rated at 200 lumens.

$150 may seem a bit pricey but you have to factor in customer service, durability, and the purpose of your light.

PS PM Me directly regarding a SF purchase, I may be able to help you out.

I'd go with a Surefire 6P for a metal body or a G2 if you want something a little lighter.

Bought the ElZetta M60 and I couldn't be happier with it. Made in the USA, good metal body, not heavy, 2 cell is small enough to fit in palm of your hand for work with a pistol, 235 lumens (new end cap allows modulation), and the Malkoff device is a great drop in go for the Surefire G2. In total, I spent $135 from Pacific Tactical Solutions (minus the new endcap, next time I'm purchasing that'll be there).

It's awesome and so far has lasted me for years. I actually washed it with clothes and dried it few weeks ago. It fell out of my pants when I pulled it out of the dryer and worked fine , batteries were good to go too.
