Man that sucks, hopefully you and the other driver make it ok, (even though it shows that she's defective from the head up). ETA: I wouldn't be suprised to see that ranger have a Delta sticker on the side and a be issued to International MTC. We're supposed to get 6 rangers.

Damn Cletus, that looks pretty bad. That bumper sticker is classic, "I think, therefore I am a Democrat." I guess she was too busy thinking to realize she was pulling out into traffic without looking... Sorry, not the best joke. It was the best I could do on short notice. |

Man, sorry to hear about that. my wife has been hit 3 times this year! first one in Jan, we are STILL fighting with insurance. if you need a good personal injury lawer let me know. I have one I used in 02 after fighting with insurance for over a year. good luck on the recovery. |
I may need one eventually. It doesn't appear that the insurance companies involved are going to get me back to at least even as far as my vehicle goes. |
I'm waiting on word right now. The insurance approved body shop is supposed to get the vehicle from the wrecker service today. I'd be truly surprised if it isn't written off. The bigger worries right now are my injuries. My knee is still really swollen and is turning a fine array of colors and my neck/head hurt alot. The emergency room doctor gave me a work excuse through tonight, but I'm scheduled to work tomorrow night as well.....don't know if that is going to happen. Still haven't heard a word from the insurance company of the at-fault driver. |
Your a damn millionaire!!! ![]() [just kidding] Man, hate to see that happen to anyone. I hate fighting with insurance more than anything. Glad nothing worse happend to you. My wife has a big scar on each knee where a drunk ran her off the road in her civic. Hope you get back on your feet ASAP!!! |
| Her insurance co will not contact you. You need a demand letter for the car and you need to have counsel for the injury. Just the way it is. I generally do the vehicle damage for free or $250 extra because it is easy for me to make them do right. Just something to think about. |

Damn, sorry your hurting Scott. I'll say a prayer for you and I hope you get to feeling better soon. I hated it when I had to deal with the insurance co. 15 years ago. got T-boned in a Camaro. No injury but the cars were totaled. That's why I drive a 7500 lb truck now. Low gas mileage=extra insurance. Rest easy and get a good lawyer. Chris |
Damn that sucks Cletus, I hope your knee gets better. I hurt my knee when I was 17 and it still doesn't work right 5 years later. Man I can't wait till I get old . It was good meeting you at the GA shoot in madison. On the insurance note, I was actually suprised when I was in an accident. A drunk driver hit me and my sisters friend while we were stopped, took the whole front end of the civic. Two days after the accident Progressive calls me asking what they can offer, since I didn't go to the hospital they didn'y pay any medical bills but I got a nice check for the guy being a dumbass. I was suprised how fast and polite the insurance company was. Hope you get the same treatment Cletus DMgangl |
| Hey $500 for a cut on my hand and a headache when your a college student is not so bad. The driver wasn't so luck with a totaled car and smacked her head against the door. I was just lucky my window shattered and my airbag deployed so I didn't hit anything hard. |

Cletus should be raising all manner of hell with his own insurance company. If necessary, they can take care of everything and pursue the other insurance company. If Cletus's insurance company doesn't behave, then maybe Cletus should hire an attorney. I recently had to help my stepfather in a claim against a driver insured by Progressive. One thing I found out was that Progressive, for years, was a "substandard" company and only recently got into the "standard" market. Sometimes you get those Progressive adjusters with the "substandard" mentality. Judging from the other driver's bumper stickers, she's a "substandard" sure bet! |

DKing, not to step on your toes, but.... Contact your insurance agent. They will have attorneys that they contract with that should help you out. These are attorneys who work in insurance defense, and they will want to protect your insurance carrier (and you by association) from any liability. At least that is how my wife explains it. She works in that area. |

Oh, no toes stepped on I hate insurance company work. I maybe handle one or two PI's a year just to keep my toes in it. The difference between your lawyer and the insurance company's lawyer is that your lawyer gets paid based on what he gets you. The insurance companies settle everything out of court between themselves. While your lawyer may be handling one (or 100) of these type of cases, your insurance company is probably handling hundreds of thousands on any given day. Their interest is in being fair and keeping the other company happy too. These hundreds of thousands of accidents every year create a clearing house. There are dozens of "off setting" claims. You owe us $10K for these cases we owe you $10K for those cases we'll just write them all off. Now try to get your insurance co.'s lawyer to go forward with a claim they don't believe in. Or ask them to demand $1 million in pain and suffering and see what they tell you. If they will work for you that's great, but find out if they are working for you or working for your insurance company. I do a lot of getting people car's fixed by the other guys insurance company. The reason is they have no desire to move unless you have a lawyer. Sure you can go through your company to fix the car but generally you have to pay a deductible and wait to be reimbursed. A good demand letter will get results faster and generally cheaper. |
