Maybe you've heard that turkeys don't fly.
BS of course. I'm out with my dog this morning and he heads over to the fence corners behind some Doug Firs. I hear him bark and this big time rustling sound and then spot some movement coming through the tree line, dog a chasin' .Then flapping of wings, I'm thinkin' it's another blue heron. Nope, BIG ole' Tom movin' out. He takes to the air spreading his tail and heads for the nearest oak which is about 50 ft tall. Dang, there goes Thanksgiving dinner too....
