Sorry AF, I asked the CLEO in Alexandria about suppressors and SBRs when I lived up off Van Dorn St......not a chance in hell of getting the CLEO to sign off. Only option is to incorporate. |

| In Chesterfield Co we call in advance and give our ssn, name and address to guy on call and they spend two days doing a prelim back ground then call you back to setup a meeting. You go in and talk a little and then they sign off. Its a nice process and its always been the Lieutenant Col (Undersheriff) Dennis Proffitt. He is a solid man and it has never been an issue. I do about 10 trans a year with him. |
| Like I said I dont mind paying $25 a year to keep my stuff. That way I dont have to go on a quest everytime I want to get something that just transfered in. I just fill out a form. For example, I am thinking about getting the local C2 to turn my mossy into a mini-mosi. That would normally take a quest of a sign off, photo shop, and fingerprints just for a $5 tax stamp. |
From what I hear for PW County the Sheriff will only sign for 2 items total. Paul Ebert (Commonwealths Attorney) will not sign for suppressors at all but the Sheriff will. Ebert will sign for anything else but a suppressor. Soon I'm going to be testing this rumor by bringing 3 items for signatures to the Sheriff. |
gotm4 is correct. PWC Sheriff Glendell Hill signed 2 of my Form 4s in 2004 (one MG; one suppressor), and returned my 3rd one this year unsigned/approved with a letter stating two's the limit. |
