Read recently here somebody suggested a scaled down version of CSR for .22 shooters. All the usual positinal stuff but at 25m or maybe even 50m.
Got me thinking................. How about a 25m or 50m version of McQueens ? This comp is a great challenge in fullbore. I am sure it would be equally fun with a .22 version of an AR etc |

How about you just turn up to some of the events we already organize?
We've just had an excellent 4 days shooting at the CSR championships. Didn't see you there! Here's another spiffing idea, a mini McQueens might be feasible... Howzabout you organize it and we'll all turn up apart from all that, I don't know where you could get a 25 or 50yd range where you could run a manually operated McQueens castle Posted Via AR15.Com Mobile |

But have been working a load of hours over past few months in order to fund my 5 weeks in Brazil. So very little shooting has been done. Yes, I see what you mean re finding a range. One idea would be to set up a firing point at 50 yards on short siberia ( where slug match firing point is ) and move the castle over from the other end. I will certainly research the feasibility as soon as I return from my holiday. |
| From a technical/medical/safety point of interest (migth arrange a fullbore i.e. 6,5 - 7,62 mm) match along the same lines: The "sniper symbol" is it hard to hold when it gets hit by the bullets, or do you have help from some sort of support? (I take it the McQueens is a symbolic "anti-sniper" match?) |

I am sure it would be equally fun with a .22 version of an AR etc This is something I am thinking about for a club event later this summer. I have some scaled down Figure 11 from McQueen's that represent the full sized targets at 200 and 300 yards when firing from 25. As our event will be at 25 yards we have to work around this limitation, probably involving lots of string and pulleys. McQueen's don't have a website as such but their phone number is 01896 664 269, They might answer as Sykes Global Services, just ask for McQueen targets and they will send out a catalogue which has a lot of interesting stuff in it, including a wide choice of scaled down targets. |
| Ok, I have a full set of Service Reifle targets scaled down on my PC if you are interested; 12, 12c, 11, 14, double and triple 11. The reduced targets from McQueens do not generally have scoring rings as the ones illustrated above are for zeroing on 25m Barrack Ranges. |
