I haven't seen any for sale in a gun store anywhere in months. I've been told that the ammo makers have not been making any .22 ammo at all lately because they are putting all their lead, copper, brass and manpower resources into making higher profit ammo and .22LR is the lowest profit margin of anything they usually make. Any .22LR still in the sales channel is likely old stock made before the start of the scare. They aren't likely to start making any .22LR ammo again until the shortages of the more profitable calibers have been caught up. Given there is little sign that will happen any time soon, I would say don't hold your breath. Sadly, my guess is that if/when we ever start to see new .22LR ammo on the shelves again the new standard for prices will be at least 2x what it used to be, if not 3-4x. I'm talking 500rd bricks of the cheap crap like Thunderbolts, Wildcats or Lightning will probably be $20-$40 every day, not $8-$12 like they used to be up until the start of the scare. And everything better will be proportionately more. |

Last time I was at Academy in Frisco (on Preston) they had some. Federal Match (the 325rd boxes) and CCI Auto I believe (375rd?). Along with some "hunting" stuff (Winchester 100rd boxes).
What I would consider normal prices as well (~$.06/rd) for those types of ammo. |

I realize its not in any of the cities that you listed, but Victoria had QUITE a bit of the stuff for sale, $2.29 and $4.99 per box of 50. Downside is that they only allow 2 boxes per customer, per day. |

I know you guys are trying to help out but don't turn this into a WTS thread. Thanks. That being said. Target master in Plano had boxes of Win M-22 and blazer available. Way overpriced. Just have to be in the right place at the right time. Or willing to pay premium $$$ for a hot commodity. |
