Was looking for a few .50 Cal cans, and Ranger has them used for $25 each.

Tell me there is someone around here with a better price than that?

I wouldn't pay that for new

Not that there is anything wrong with that.

If you live in Hampton Roads, the chain Little GI Joes Surplus has .50s and .30s for IIRC 14 and 10.  Also the Armey Navey (yeah I know) in Portsmouth has em, if you buy 5 or more hell probably sell em for 10 a piece.

Bass Pro in Ashland had some (not fats) about a month ago for $20 each.  They may have more..

Sgammo.com has been selling some new and used lately.  If you haven't used them before, they're GTG.

Yeah, I still get sticker shock when I see them now.   Old Sarge would sell them 4 for $24 at the Dulles shows years back.  I'd usually come home with at least 12, each show, and they were pristine.  Built up a nice stack of empties I thought I'd never fill.  Well... it's been at least three years since I filled the last one.
But just can't bring myself to pay $20+ per can to add any more.

I don't recall ever paying more than $4 a piece for a 50 can.

I would normally buy in bulk so they would run about $2.50 each.

I switched to plastic cans. You can often find them on sale for ~ $10 a pop.  For simple storage they suit me just as well as the milsurplus cans.

Can you not buy them any more at surplus?   I need about 20 - 50 cal cans.  Would like to have some more 30s too.   I loathe the thought of paying $15 each for a 50 cal can.

At this point, I'd pay $15 a can!  Everyone has gone full 'tard on these things.

Anyone want to work out a group buy with a local dealer?

I mean if we get with a surplus store and buy say 100 between several members here...?

I can stop by Little GI joes in Yorktown on the way home and check there.   I priced them on AIM last night.   Looks like ~$16 delivered to me door for new cans.
