Anchorage for the most part.  Staying in Wasilla, heading to Big Lake to spread my parents ashes and see what is left of the homestead.  May take a overnight trip down to Homer.

The Homer area has been closed south of Anchor Point due to lack of ammo for the summer.

No, funny is good.  Mom died in 91 and dad in 07, my uncle said at New Years if we didn't make this happen we were going to need to take 3 urns up there.  Not going to have any shooting time, stay in Wasilla,  hoping to meet up for a beer with Aviator at least, more are welcome if close.

That is a hike, have never been up there.  I don't think we are even going up to Denali.

Actually, this time of year,  if the choice is between Homer and Fairbanks.... I'd go North.
Homer is  extreemely crowded, I get out of here every chance I get, May,  June and July.
. Chena Hotsprings is on sale,  Signature rooms are only 99 dollars.

So we put on almost 1000 miles and did not see 1 cow.  My uncle who lived up there in 1950-60 said from Palmer to Anchorage was farm after farm.  What happened?  Where are the big dirt farms?

Next to the runway at the Palmer airport.

And out by me. Most people who come to Alaska want to see Moose or Caribou. Cows?
