Man I never thought these dang black rifles could be so dang addictive.  I have shot shot guns, and bolt actions all my life.   I never really got just over nuts on them.  I would buy one shoot it, go hunting with it, sight it in and that was about it.

These ar15's are a whole diffrent story.  I just thought I would get one for fun and varmint hunting.  I bought a dpms bull sweet 16 upper with a delton lower with cmmg lower parts kit and a cmmg 4 pos stock.  I got it all put together, and have been putting 100-200 rounds through it a weekend ever since.  I find my self just looking forward to trying to get tighter groups.

So I have posted this pic before but this is what my gun looked like when I bought it.

So I went shooting a few times really liked it, and one of my shooting buddies had a fixed a2 stock he said I could have so I put it on.  I really like the setup better feels more secure, and yes I know the scope is mounted way back.  I quite trying to do the whole nose to carging handle thing it wasnt my style and I couldnt do it with out it feeling akward.

So then im like I have to start rolling my own shells. I mean it makes perfect sense.  I want better accuracy and better shells at a descent price.  So im like I will buy a Lee start up kit.  Nope I said if I was going to do it I might as well buy what I wanted so I got a Hornady LnL classic kit with 223 dies, and most of the stuff I needed.  I mounted it up on a old table that I had and it sucked I couldnt get enough leverage because the table was flexible.  So know im like what the heck I will build me a descent work bench.  So I build it and mount my press and powder drop.  I load up about 96 rounds.  It would have been a hundred but I didnt know what I was doing and crushed the shoulder on 4 of them.  Here is my new work bench.  What do you think?

So today I decided to go to the big town gun show, and I wanted to buy a pistol.  I have never really wanted to buy a pistol, but now I need one.  I ended up not buying one because I dont know what I should buy or shouldnt buy so I just gave up.

So know im looking at the DPMS  LR-260H, and im pretty sure I will get one in the next couple of months.

This sickness really does never end does it.  You are always buying stuff arent you? I was warned but dang it yall were right.

Oh by the way any body have the LR-260H.  Im interested in how it performs

I have a DPMS LR308. Fantastic gun. Everything I have put the crosshairs on has gone down. Longest shot was about 275 on a blackbuck antelope.

RedTx,

The Sheriff of Tillman County, OK, and owner of Badlands Tactical Training Facility, has one and raves about it. It's had some fine tuning to make it a tack driver but he's very impressed. You might take a look at his website and read some threads on it. The gang at Badlands is pretty tight nit but they are very helpful. If your interested in some training you might look into the week long 3 gun course they just had. Looks like they're going to do another sometime soon.

Just Google Badlands Tactical Training Facility. It's just outside of Grandfield, OK. PM me if you want some more info.

DONT BUY A GLOCK (unless you have unlimited toy funds to vex another new habit). I thought ar15's were bad, until I discovered glocks. I still cant feed my ar habit enough, but now I have to balance it with my glock habit. Currently, im up to 19 owned/sold, and spares coming out of my ears. Plus, I have to shoot them daily, like a daily fix.

The ar's are more expensive to feed, so they get shot 1x per week, much cheaper. I even have an ar for crap ammo. just a worn out barrel and a sloppy chamber so I can buy that 285/case junk crap ammo and just shoot whenever I want to get a fix.
