|
First let me welcome you to AR15
IMO Walmart is the worst for 223 deals and not be a smart ass but have you been under a rock???? Good luck and if you find any good deals lets us know |

i just got my colt pre-ban ar15 (6530) 2 wks. ago new to this site and happened to stumble on the "hometown" section of here in ohio. im in the dayton area and i have only found .223 remington green box once ($17 for a box of 20!!) since i've had my ar. there is never any .45acp or .38. there is a shitload of shot shells though. just went to the wally world in franklin (st.rt. 73) and they were empty.if you guys get a meet n greet scheduled i would be interested. |
| I think it's Kabe's or something like that (?) out near Canton that's got 1000rd cases for $350 or so. I've been meaning to get down there but haven't. Fin Feather Fur (or Fin Fur Feather or Feather Fur Fin or whatever) has also been suggested, but it's a hike, and I've heard they sell out quick when shipments come in. |

Why doesn't AIM Surplus get mentioned on this board more often or at all?
I regularly buy .223 Centurion from AIM at $170 per 500. I'm no techno-expert but I like this stuff. It's brass for the price of steel. Seems like a great deal to me. Call them, don't rely on their website. They don't have to publicize the stuff to sell out of it. The guys at AIM are very good to deal with. I've never heard a bad thing about them and never had anything but good experiences myself.. |

With all due respect, when's the last time you bought Centurion at AIM for $340/1000? |

I walked through Dick's Sporting Goods in Columbus this weekend and there was very little ammunition of any type on the shelf. I was in one the other night and they only wanted $28 for a box of ball 40 Smith&Wesson(50) |

With all due respect, when's the last time you bought Centurion at AIM for $340/1000? Ahhhh, that would be two months ago. I feel like a shill for AIM. They get a lot of product in that never hits their website. In fairness, I ordered in the last few days of Dec 2008 and received it in the first few days of Feb 2009. I got a follow up email that they had more available a few weeks later after they had filled the orders they had built up. I think they are making a business decision not to advertise it, sell out in a few hours, and piss off their customer base. Moral to the story, if you want something AIM sells, call them, they will work with you. More than likely you will become a happy AIM customer. AIM is my first choice for ammo. If it's .223 buy a couple 1000 rounds. If it's .45, buy 1000 at a time. Then watch for availability or if your getting short, make the call. Between price and product, I just don't know why AIM isn't #1 on this site? |

And totally agree about the service there. |

we are taking orders for the centurion, last week it was about a week wait for it, but i had allot of dealers jump on it this week so a new order will be about 3-4 weeks delayed.
